dmso is it a pain reliever?

I have used dmso. Do not believe it caused me any problems. It does relieve pain. This stuff was popular in the 60's 70's.
Doubt if I'd recommend it use.
Never heard any horses complain.

DMSO is usually called horse linament... Its usually used on horses..to help with pain in their legs... Its not recommended for humans...but you can use it... but dont use it straight...it will burn like hell...hehe... mix it with lotion...

Yes. My grandpa used to bring it home in quart jars to rub on his joints for his arthritis, and he swore the stuff helped the pain. I've heard other people say the same. DMSO that he used was a by-product of the paper mill where he worked. It was a clear liquid, looked just like water to me. I never used it personally.

Why does my bladder have such a strong urgency to pee?

Im a young woman and I have been suffering from a horrible urgency and discomfort in my bladder and that area since February. My normal doctor gave me antibiotics for a UTI and it did not seem to help. Before leaving he gave me a refill of another antibiotic to try and fix it and it said it was completley cleared up. After returning home I visited my gynocologist that gave me an antibiotic that would kill almost infection she thought i may have and a reliever that was supposed to help my urgency from peeing. This again, did not help and then she did a pelvic look and said my urethra was inflamed and sent me to a urologist. The first one put me on vesecare (for over active bladder) and after 2 weeks of that not working, he gave me detrol la which also didnt work. After the last month of that doctor i saw a different urologist who gave me oxybutnin ( 3 times a day) which worked a little bit but no enough to really help, and i was still uncomfortable in that area and feeling like i was having spasms. So then he did a cysto and inserted DMSO and told me to stay off the oxybutnin . My problem still has not been resolved, if anyone has this problem or has had it please help me!!! Its so bad that i can barley attend school, work, travel, spend the night with friends, or even sleep through the night. I also went to a psychologist to rule out the possibility of paruresis and i do not think that my urgency is related to that at all.
-I urinate every 10-15 minutes
-I do not have pain
-I am not sexually active
-I have to push my pee out and barley any comes out
-No antibiotics have helped with any of this
-No blood in my urine
-I have no cramps or aches with it
-I do have IBS (and am getting a colonoskapy done in 2 weeks)
-I drink water everyday
-I have cut out most caffine
-I take Vyvanse everyday
-I never go in my pants
-I can not wear tight clothes (only dresses, skirts, or very loose pants)
-I have a regular period cycle
-I have white discharge everyday
-It sometimes burns
-Its NOT a UTI
-Its NOT a yeast infection
-Its NOT a kidney stone
-Urine is always clear and healthy at doctor appointments
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
I am not resistant to a UTI, on every test it says im clear of any type of infection
I took that medicine you suggested Dr. Rogers when my gyno gave it to me and it did not help either
Please see another good urologist. Do you have inflammation of the vagina, thrush, endometriosis? These are conditions to discuss with your urologist? Or is it urinary tract infection where the bacteria is resistant to the antibiotics?
