An overwhelming majority of Americans say elementary school is no place to promote the homosexual lifestyle, and even among liberals there is the strong belief that such lessons should be left outside the door of the classroom, according to a new poll.
The results are from a WND/WENZEL Poll conducted for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.
"Whether they object on moral grounds or simply out of concern that many U.S. schools are failing in their core missions of teaching basics doesn't really matter – the vast majority of American adults want this type of curriculum kept out of the classroom," Wenzel chief Fritz Wenzel said.

One can learn about homosexuality, but all the study in the world will not MAKE someone homosexual. I would LOVE to see your proof that knowing about homosexuality "promotes sexual experimentation", from a credible, peer-reviewed source, please. As far as the risk of sexually transmitted diseases, anyone who has sex is at risk, the risk is higher if the sexual contact is unprotected, and currently, the LOWEST risk is between lesbians... so that kind of shoots your disease risk assessment out of the water.
Oh, and grade schools don't normally teach sex ed, do they? So what we are talking about here, in truth, is kids learning that sometimes a family means having two moms, or two dads. Hardly the sort of information that is going to lead to the end of the world, and, in fact, for those kids who DO live in those situations, allowing their friends to know that is OK is probably one of the BEST things we can do for kids.

Nobody is trying to teach young children about any 'lifestyles', but only that some people grow up to be gay, or have parents of the same gender, while most are straight with opposite gender parents.
